Kethcup!

I am sorry to short-change everyone for a second time in a week, but I am extremely far behind on my pictures and stories. Those three days without a keyboard were tough and I will admit I am a little picture happy, especially, since I realized that Parker is almost seven months old. I was looking forward to his first birthday since he was born and now I dread it. How fast can one child grow?

We had to move Parker's mattress down and take his mobile away...well, he ripped it off the wall.

We found yet another resemblance to baby Sinclair.

Diaper changes have become a two or three person job. He has started trying to pull up and has succeeded a couple of times. This puts fear in my heart...I am not ready for a walker..by any means.

He is all around a good baby...

Not Me Monday.

I do not let Monkey go around in nothing but a diaper, because he is not the hardest baby in the world to change. I also have not resorted to changing him less often because it does not stress me out to change him. I did not accept a compliment directed at my boyfriend like they were talking to me. I did not disinfect Monkey's leg after a little girl touched him at the zoo, because I am not afraid of the Swine Flu. I did not watch Monkey fall over and hit his head in his crib, and I did not video tape it, and I would have never dreamed of posting such a video on my blog. I would never find that funny. I did not sleep on the couch Sunday morning, while Monkey was in his Jumperoo, because I do not need more than five hours sleep a night. I would have never pretended to lose my gym key so I could skip a day or two.

Bookworm.

Parker has toys, a lot of toys, by far his favorite are his books. I don't know if he likes the pictures or the colors or that he feels like he is getting into something when he gets them. They are after all in a "grown up" zone. Anyways, he spends many hours out of his day flipping through his books, and I spend many hours out of my day reading him his books. Which, I do not mind at all in any stretch.

*Please ignore the way he is dressed. It is extremely difficult to change his diaper or his clothes at all these days.*

How to be a Bad Mom Lesson 1.

Make sure your speakers are on!

Peeping Parker!

Ever felt like someone was watching you? Well, if you were around our house when this happened to you then it was probably Parker. He has developed quite the peeping Tom attitude these days. He loves being outside and is convinced the way to outside is through the glass doors. He will hit his head a good five to six times before giving up and conceding to just watch the happenings. Fortunately for us we have tons of kids that live around us and they run up and down all day every day and Parker thinks this is just the greatest thing ever. It does add another job to my chore list to keep them as clean as possible but to be honest I probably should have been on top of it all along. He is quite sneaky these days we have to really quick and cautious when coming in and out of the house or he will escape. He is already preparing for leaving the nest. Or for being a teenager.

Teaching Parker to Stand!

Nicko is strongly urging our precious child to walk...I have gently reminded him several times that we really don't want this to happen sooner rather than later...I think 10 months is a good time to start walking...that would work just great for me. I mean everyone saw how fast the crawling got out of control right? Maybe I should put Nicko on Parker duty more often..that would probably change his mind...But nonetheless Parker has discovered how cool it is to view the world from a standing perspective and he has been attempting to pull up and succeeded yesterday..and has yet to prove his skills again..we will wait and see..until then the pictures of how it all got started.

Being a parent is so bittersweet it is ridiculous. We will be dropping his mattress all the way down this weekend and next week we will be in a toddler bed..at least that is how I feel.
