Independence Day

Parker picked today of all days to assert his independence. He decided that he would no longer liked to be rocked to sleep by me, his mother. I begged and pleaded with him to still let me, but alas bed time came and he wanted in his crib by himself. :( I am so sad. I realized that MY baby will be nine months in a matter of days, and I will never have that little bitty baby back, and it has all gone way too fast. I miss the little baby, and can't wait to see what he does next. Why is this so hard?

He made great improvements on walking today. He actually took a couple of steps without holding on to anything. He is such a smart boy! :)

I hope everyone had a very safe and fun Fourth of July!

Ahhh, weekends.

I LOVE weekends, mostly I love Nicko being home. He isn't even that great of a help, but he is nice to have around. :) This past weekend we went to play miniature golf with David J., and met his new GIRLfriend. HAHAHA! She was fantastic. :) Parker was VERY fond of her. He couldn't stop staring at her! He is such a flirt, but his skills are lacking. He just gets flabbergasted and stares. Silly boy.

You can do anything while wearing your baby!

BOYS!

What a mess my boys are. I mean really they are both out of control. I have a strong feeling Nicko is the worst BY FAR! He lets Parker play on beds in stores!? Who would do that? Nicko! Here are some funny pictures of Parker on fake beds with fake carrots. He was pretty upset the food wasn't real. LOL!

Commands.

Parker has gotten so good at following commands. Another reason why babies are very similar to dogs. I can tell him to clap his hands and he will. Even without me showing him how. I will make a list of all the things he can do by being told.

  1. Clap his hands.
  2. Shake his toys
  3. Roll his balls
  4. Jump
Well, it isn't a horribly long list, but I am still impressed. He is so smart! I am working on videos he is camera shy. Only for video cameras though.

Aunts.

While on vacation in Pittsburgh, Parker has his first ever trip to a water park. My little water baby thought this to be a great idea, until nap time set in. What do you do with a sleeping baby at a water park, why, you take turns sleeping in lounge chairs with him. After all, by the time you made it home nap time would be over. Parker just so happens to have the best aunt ever, and she slept in the chair with him, so mom and dad could ride slides. :)

Eyes.

It appears that Parker is going to have GREEN eyes!!!! I don't see how, since all the prediction charts say that isn't possible, but alas my sweet little boy has green eyes with a tiny bit of brown in the middle. What a doll he is going to be.

This is the only one that even gave it a 10% chance. CRAZY! I have a picture of his green eyes but it isn't uploaded and my four hours of sleep isn't going to make it through uploading pictures. Sorry guys!
