BOYS!

What a mess my boys are. I mean really they are both out of control. I have a strong feeling Nicko is the worst BY FAR! He lets Parker play on beds in stores!? Who would do that? Nicko! Here are some funny pictures of Parker on fake beds with fake carrots. He was pretty upset the food wasn't real. LOL!

Commands.

Parker has gotten so good at following commands. Another reason why babies are very similar to dogs. I can tell him to clap his hands and he will. Even without me showing him how. I will make a list of all the things he can do by being told.

  1. Clap his hands.
  2. Shake his toys
  3. Roll his balls
  4. Jump
Well, it isn't a horribly long list, but I am still impressed. He is so smart! I am working on videos he is camera shy. Only for video cameras though.

Aunts.

While on vacation in Pittsburgh, Parker has his first ever trip to a water park. My little water baby thought this to be a great idea, until nap time set in. What do you do with a sleeping baby at a water park, why, you take turns sleeping in lounge chairs with him. After all, by the time you made it home nap time would be over. Parker just so happens to have the best aunt ever, and she slept in the chair with him, so mom and dad could ride slides. :)

Eyes.

It appears that Parker is going to have GREEN eyes!!!! I don't see how, since all the prediction charts say that isn't possible, but alas my sweet little boy has green eyes with a tiny bit of brown in the middle. What a doll he is going to be.

This is the only one that even gave it a 10% chance. CRAZY! I have a picture of his green eyes but it isn't uploaded and my four hours of sleep isn't going to make it through uploading pictures. Sorry guys!

Sleep.

Last night was somewhat better, not that it could have got worse. He woke up twice which isn't bad considering he usually wakes up once to eat around five. That is also the time the motrin wore off. I discovered that he is getting his 8th tooth and it is his right canine. Do I tell you right or left from my POV or do I go by Parker's? If you have the answer let me know. That is from my POV. I am sure those sharp pointy suckers hurt like the dickens. So, I am trying to be supportive no matter how many tantrums he throws or times he bites me. I will be there to tell him how delightful he is. :) After all, what is a mom for if she is the only one that can lie to you and believe it to be the truth. He ate yogurt this morning and if that goes well, then it is back to cow's milk formula we go. Not that it matters it costs the same so no biggie. Just more "normal". I hear it is better for them, but I don't know how or why. Here are some pictures of Parker sleeping, it is that rare that we photograph it as a great moment.

Naked Babies.

Parker is going through this thing that he won't lay still for a diaper change, or a clothes change, well let's just say he won't lay still, or be still ever. This is obviously a problem that probably will never get fixed. By the time, I get control he will be out of diapers. I should probably teach him anyways after that point, just so he knows how difficult it was. Or, how difficult it is for me to wake up every two hours at night for no reason but to rock him back to sleep. :O Needless to say I am exhausted and anxiously waiting nap time today. Back to the story. Parker has decided that he never has to wear clothes/ diaper. This is only a problem when he goes to peeing on the floor. Oddly enough he never throws a fit if he has to get dressed like we actually get to leave the house.

Boiled Peanuts

Yesterday, we went out to Sandhill to see my daddy for Father's Day. Nicko and my dad really like each other. Kind of weird to look at, but whatever works for them. Parker, of course, had a great time. After all, my daddy does have dogs. LOL. On our way back to the city we stopped and got some boiled peanuts. For those who don't know what this is. They are green peanuts boiled in water and salt. They are DE lightful. Nicko had this banter of "hick food" "gross" "redneck person" all the way to the stand. (actually a man's truck, but who cares). I start eating them in the car, because they are best hot and served with a cold Coca Cola. :) I mean that honestly, of course I think Coke goes with everything, but even Nicko agreed. If you are eating boiled peanuts, drink a coke. Nicko LOVED them. He ate more than I did. :O. I was so proud of him. It was his very first father's day, and he loves boiled peanuts. :). Also, never eat the ones out of a can. If you can't have them fresh, because you live in the North, then wait until you come see me in the months of May-November. :) A man after my own heart. After we got home we just relaxed and played with Parker. I think Nicko actually picked on of his "piles" up. Such a messy boy. Then we watched movies and hung out. I guess that is what he wanted? He never spoke up so...oh well.

DELICIOUS!!!

Happy 3 Years!

I just wanted everyone to be proud of Nicko. He picked up his three year chip last night. I was going to take pictures, but apparently that steps on some people's rights. I guess no one needs photographic evidence of their participation in AA. :) I kind of felt silly, afterall it does say ANONYMOUS right in the title. Here are some from when we got home.

Our Trip.

I am going to sum up our trip and maybe tell a few stories. Just to kill multiple birds with one stone.

We had a FANTASTIC time. I am working on pictures. I have some and so do other people and I will compile them when I get them and get mine put on the computer. I am lazy and Parker has been uber crabby.

Parker LOVED staying in Westfield on Lake Erie. He could crawl everywhere and do everything, needless to say he was in heaven. He loves being outside in the sunshine. He thought it was great. There was water and so much new stuff to explore. I loved Westfield. I mean really. Nicko had me expecting something horrible, and wow, I was loving it. He is not a country kind of person. :)

Pittsburgh was great. Parker learned how to climb stairs, and bond with kitty cats. I do not like cats. BAH! Parker is an animal lover for sure, I guess that means mom is in trouble when he gets old enough to demand an animal around all the time. Nicko has already started on this kick. They just don't understand, since they aren't allergic. Parker had plenty of open crawling room and a crib with an extra bouncy mattress. He loved jumping in it. He also spent a lot of time sleeping with mommy and daddy since I missed him so much by the end of the day. I try to take turns with him, but it is hard. I miss him.

Nicko met with some people about a job, and it went great. We are looking forward to moving, and we think Parker will be happy too.

Parker really is the best traveler. He only had a couple of fussy days, and as far as on the plane he LOVES it. He sleeps on all flights even if he isn't tired. He crawled around a few airports. Tried to sneak into a couple of people's bags. I accidentally left his blankie in Detroit. OOOPPPSS!! I feel horrible. I will be going this evening to search for a replacement. He isn't doing so good sleeping without it. :(

8 Months!

Parker turned 8 months old on June 8, and I didn't blog about it, since I was on vacation. Here are the best pictures and the best stories of the wild man's life. (from last month only, after all I still have to unpack.)

He is a cheeser, what can I say?

4,5,&6

Parker now has six whole teeth. He has four on top and still only two on bottom, although that looks like it is about to change.

We have been super busy, and having a blast! Parker LOVES it here. He particularly liked Westfield. I have a feeling it was all the freedom he was blessed with. He did wind up with splinters and a mysterious cut on his toe. It never bled but it was super deep. Weird, right?

He is getting so fast at crawling and even cruising he is doing so much better. He is actually standing for a whole minute by himself holding on to nothing. And he says DADA all the time. Last night in the bath, because he was super mad at me for making him lay down in the tub. He was crying and yelling DADADADADADA! I finally gave in and made Nicko get him ready for bed. He is getting better at waving, but he usually doesn't do it until they are already gone? LOL! Silly boy! He is getting so tall! At first I thought he lost weight. Obviously, I am delusional. He just thinned out from growing tall.

He is quite fond of his grandma. :) And Nono and Nona's dog buddy. I have no idea where he gets his love for animals..I dislike them greatly. Perhaps, it is because I am allergic.

Baggage Claim!

Yesterday we left for Pittsburgh Pa to of course visit with Nicko's family. I mean honestly who could go that long with out seeing Parker. He is just too cute for words, and as yet to slow down on growth since birth. Still waiting for that one.

I actually started packing Sunday to make sure I didn't forget anything, but somehow I forgot to pack bottles. I use liquid formula so all of my bottles are premade. I walked out of the  house and left my son's bottles in the fridge. I was mortified. What kind of mother does that? I mean honestly. I will breast feed my next kid just for this reason. Forget not being able to take asthma medicine.

Parker was absolutely fantastic on both flights. He would play in the airport and fall asleep before the plane ever took off! He slept the entire time on both flights. He even made a couple of girlfriends. Ah, he is a lady killer. One was a way older woman, I tried to discourage him, but he was having none of it. He then made contact with the most precious little girl. Whom even though she was about a year older than Parker was about on his capability level. She was not behind at all, but it just so happens I am raising a manchild/boygenious!

We finally get to Pittsburgh, but Nicko's luggage did not. Again, it is sad, particularly since all of my bath necessities were in it. Oh, well. Hopefully it makes it here today, or everyone in this area is going to experience the horror of me not wearing make up!

Momma's Boy!

Now that teething has set in nice and good in our home. Parker is finally a Momma's Boy! I never thought this day would come. His devotion is so deep I can't even go in the kitchen by myself. I have said this before in a lot of ways babies are like having dogs.

They follow you everywhere. You have to be super quick when exiting the house, or he will make his escape. Occasionally they pee on the floor. And you always have to clean up their poop. They eat some of the most unappetizing foods you could imagine. And they love you without judgment no matter what you do. I am sure that last one will change when he is about 13.

Where are you going Ma? (Parker has decided that two Ma's are not necessary it is just Ma.)
Photobucket

I want to come too!
Photobucket

Will you take me too? Please.

But, Ma!

Mixed veggies, anyone?

Parker loves mixed veggies, and he loves feeding them to himself even more. I told you he was getting to be such a big boy.

This is my favorite picture.
